The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has confirmed
the departure of head coach Vladimir Petkovi? and his technical staff following
a mutual agreement to end their contracts with immediate effect.
The decision marks the end of Petkovi?'s spell in
charge of the Desert Foxes as the federation begins preparations for the next
phase of its international programme.
With the coaching position now vacant, the FAF is
expected to begin the process of appointing a new manager to guide Algeria
through its upcoming international commitments, including the 2026 FIFA World
Cup campaign and major continental tournaments.
The federation is anticipated to unveil a new head
coach in the coming weeks as it steps up preparations for future competitive
fixtures.
