Zamfara APC Endorses Governor Dauda Lawal as Consensus Governorship Candidate

Governor Dauda Lawal has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer for the 2027 governorship election in Zamfara State through a consensus arrangement adopted by the party as its primary mode in the state.

Party members and supporters gathered across different wards in Zamfara State and unanimously endorsed Lawal as the party’s candidate for the election.

Speaking to journalists after the exercise, Governor Lawal expressed appreciation to party members for the confidence reposed in him. He also pledged to sustain and expand developmental projects that would improve the living conditions of the people of Zamfara State.

Lawal’s emergence comes shortly after Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda secured the APC ticket for the governorship election on Thursday.

Both Lawal and Radda are seeking a second term in office on the APC platform.
