Controversial relationship coach, Blessing Okoro,
popularly known as “CEO Blessing,” has deactivated her Instagram account
shortly after facing tough questioning over her alleged cancer diagnosis during
a live television interview.
The incident followed her appearance on Arise TV on
April 4, where she was confronted by medical expert Dr. Adefunke Arowolo.
During the discussion, the doctor openly disputed several of Blessing’s claims,
stating that they lacked medical credibility.
Dr. Arowolo further disclosed that she had personally
contacted the pathologist whose name appeared on the medical report presented
by Blessing as evidence of her illness. According to her, the doctor clarified
that he is based in Asaba, not Enugu as previously claimed, and denied any
involvement with the report in question. He reportedly stated that he had no
knowledge of the document and had not visited Enugu recently.
During the interview, visible discomfort was observed
as Blessing struggled to respond to the contradictions raised. It was also
pointed out that the medical document she presented on television closely
resembled a report already circulating online—one she had earlier denied
releasing.
Adding to the controversy, allegations surfaced that
the report may have originally belonged to another individual, with claims that
it was altered to include Blessing’s name. Reports suggest that the family of
the alleged original patient had previously threatened legal action over the
misuse of the document.
Following the interview, public reaction intensified,
with many Nigerians calling for an investigation into the situation,
particularly over concerns that the cancer narrative may have been used to
solicit financial support under false pretenses.
Shortly after the backlash gained momentum, Blessing’s
Instagram page—previously followed by over 1.4 million users—became
inaccessible. Searches for the account now return no results, indicating that
it has either been deactivated or removed.
The development has further fueled online discussions,
with many awaiting a response or clarification from the social media
personality.
