After a move to Saudi Arabia fell through, Bayer
Leverkusen's manager Xabi Alonso expressed his satisfaction with having
Nigerian striker Victor Boniface at the club.
Boniface had been set to join Al Nasr in the Saudi Pro
League, but the deal collapsed on Wednesday. He rejoined Leverkusen's squad for
training on Thursday ahead of their upcoming match.
"He will train again tomorrow, and I think
he’ll stay with us," Alonso said.
"I’m happy with him, and he seems
comfortable here, so it’s not a big issue for him." Boniface is expected
to be available for Leverkusen's match against FC Hoffenheim on Sunday.
