The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named
Mauritanian referee Dahane Beida as the match official for Nigeria’s
group-stage encounter against Tanzania at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Beida will take charge when the Super Eagles face the
Taifa Stars on Tuesday in what is expected to be a key fixture in the group
phase of the tournament.
One of CAF’s most experienced referees, Beida has
officiated numerous high-profile matches across the continent and on the global
stage, including previous AFCON tournaments and FIFA competitions.
Nigeria will be targeting a strong performance and a
positive result against Tanzania as they continue their pursuit of continental
success at the AFCON finals in Morocco.
