Super Falcons star and Brighton & Hove Albion
goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been crowned the 2025 Women’s
Goalkeeper of the Year, marking her third consecutive win of the
prestigious award.
The announcement was made at the annual awards
ceremony held at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat,
Morocco.
Nnadozie, 24, beat Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi
and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini to retain her title, further cementing
her status as Africa’s most dominant goalkeeper.
Her exceptional form for both club and country
made her the clear favourite. During her time at Paris FC, she helped the club
lift the Coupe de France Féminine. She also played a pivotal role in the
Super Falcons’ historic 10th WAFCON title, recording four clean
sheets and winning the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper Award.
Since joining Brighton & Hove Albion in the
Women’s Super League (WSL), Nnadozie has continued her brilliant run. She
earned a Player of the Match award on her debut, followed by the WSL
Save of the Month and PFA Fans’ Player of the Month honours.
With yet another accolade added to her growing list,
Nnadozie’s reputation as one of the world’s most talented goalkeepers continues
to rise.
