The Federal Ministry of Education has
officially rolled out Inspire Live(s), a nationwide platform offering real-time
online lessons for students across Nigeria. The initiative aims to provide
consistent daily instruction to all students, regardless of location, helping
bridge long-standing gaps in classroom access.
According to the Ministry, classes run weekdays
from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., delivered via Cisco Webex by certified
master teachers.
Subjects Offered:
Minister of Education, Chief (Dr.) Maruf
Tunji Alausa, confirmed that the platform is now fully
operational and will gradually expand to all classes from Primary 1 to
Senior Secondary 3.
The program addresses challenges in schools with limited
subject teachers, enabling students in remote or under-resourced areas to
access core subjects in real time. Schools can maintain normal routines while
students participate in live lessons, with school staff overseeing the process.
To facilitate the rollout, the Ministry has asked all Education
Commissioners to appoint State Focal Officers to coordinate activities.
Schools must ensure functional ICT facilities, internet access, and proper
registration for students via the Inspire support channels.
The platform is accessible to all public and
private schools nationwide, with further details available on the Inspire
website, where desk officers are available for support.
This initiative represents a major step toward equitable
access to quality education across Nigeria.
