It is all about performance, says Chelle
Eric Chelle is cool and calm ahead of the game. He has
told the players that they must be energetic and play with strong sense of
purpose. It is performance in training sessions that will determine who
starts the game or not.
No injury worries
All the 23 players in camp are fit and strong for the
clash against Warriors of Zimbabwe. That is a very good news, considering the
fact that football is a very physical sport.
Funny characters in camp
There are some Super Eagles players who are naturally
funny. A lot of people don’t know that Calvin Bassey is a lively fellow, full
of energy on the field and fun off the fied.
Samuel Chukwueze is another jovial character and the
grandmaster of them all is Victor Boniface. Boniface is naturally funny.
Strong comradeship
There is a strong comradeship, a very strong friendly
atmosphere among the players. The newly invited have blended easily among the
more established. Special kudos to Williams Troost- Ekong for his strong
leadership.
Press Conference by 6pm
There will be press conference by 6pm regarding the
match. Nigeria will have her press conference, while Zimbabwe will have theirs
by 4.30pm.
Training by 6.30 pm on Monday
Super Eagles will have their last training session for the game by 6.30pm on Monday evening. The first 15 mins is opened to the media and thereafter, it will be a closed session.
