Governor Dauda Lawal has lauded Hon. Kabiru Amadu,
member representing the Gusau/Tsafe federal constituency and Chairman of the
House of Representatives Committee on Sports, for his ongoing efforts to uplift
his constituents through impactful grassroots initiatives.
At a ceremony held on Sunday at the Zamfara State
Government House in Gusau, Hon. Amadu—popularly known as ‘Mai
Palace’—officially distributed 100 vehicles and tractors to party officials,
community elders, youth leaders, and other selected individuals within the
Gusau/Tsafe constituency.
The event marks the latest in a series of empowerment
programmes spearheaded by the lawmaker. Just last month, Amadu distributed over
100 motorcycles to local youths, aiming to enhance mobility and support
small-scale economic activity.
In a statement issued by Governor Lawal’s
spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor praised Hon. Amadu’s dedication
to the welfare of his people, noting the importance of complementary efforts
between elected officials and the state government in delivering meaningful
development.
“I am deeply impressed by the array of initiatives
that Hon. Kabiru Amadu is implementing for the benefit of his constituents.
This is commendable and deserves encouragement,” Governor Lawal said.
He emphasized the alignment between Amadu’s outreach
and the government’s broader development agenda. “While the state government is
focused on building and renovating schools, hospitals, and roads, initiatives
like these help amplify our impact, especially in areas of social welfare.”
Governor Lawal further highlighted his
administration’s achievements over the past two years, particularly in the
areas of security, education, healthcare, workers’ welfare, and urban renewal.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continued collaboration with political
stakeholders to ensure the success of his administration’s "rescue
mission."
In his remarks, Hon. Amadu reiterated his commitment
to improving the lives of his constituents. “I am spending hundreds of millions
of naira on covering tuition and school fees for students and offering
scholarships. Beyond that, we are supporting farmers with tractors and
essential tools to boost agricultural productivity.”
The lawmaker emphasized that the distribution of
vehicles was just one component of a broader empowerment strategy aimed at
fostering socio-economic growth within the constituency.
