The Independent National Electoral Commission
(INEC) has commenced a series of consultative engagements with key
stakeholders ahead of the Anambra State Governorship Election scheduled
for November this year.
The meeting, held at the commission’s headquarters,
marks the first official engagement between INEC and political parties
under the leadership of the Acting Chairman of the commission.
According to INEC, the session is designed to provide
an opportunity for frank discussions and collaborative planning
between the electoral body and political parties.
It will also enable participants to address grey
areas, review operational frameworks, and fine-tune preparations for
the smooth conduct of the forthcoming election.
The meeting forms part of INEC’s commitment to
ensuring a transparent, credible, and inclusive electoral process in
Anambra State.
