announcement coincides with a broader internet blackout in Iran:
the Supreme National Security Council has ordered near-total internet
shutdowns since June 17, causing connectivity to plummet by up to 97% .

are being encouraged to switch to Iran’s National Information Network
(NIN) and state-approved domestic apps, many of which have been criticized
for weak privacy protections .
