The National Union of Road Transport
Workers (NURTW), Osun State chapter came alive on Monday, as the National
Chairman of the NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya MC Oluomo inaugurated the State
Executives of the Union after months of proscription of by the government.
The newly installed NURTW chairman, Osun State
chapter, Comrade Wakeel Nurudeen Oluronbi took oath of office along with other
executives in the State.
The NURTW Chairman, Osun State chapter, Comrade Wakeel
Nurudeen Oluronbi appreciated Gov Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke for
restoring NURTW back in the State. He pledged on behalf of other members that
peace, progress and unity of the State will be his top priority.
He assured Gov Adeleke that his leadership style as
State’s NURTW Chairman will be a point of reference for others to emulate and
drive the growth of the State.
Comrade Wakeel Nurudeen Oluronbi expressed his
gratitude to the National President of the NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya MC
Oluomo for all the sacrifices made to ensure NURTW back alive in the State.
In his brief remarks, MC Oluomo congratulated the
newly inaugurated executives and urged them to cooperate with the State
Governor.
Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya MC Oluomo used the occasion
to appeal to Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde to restore Oyo State chapter
of the Union. He said; when Oyo State chapter come back alive like what we are
witnessing in Osun, the South-West will experience more unity in the transport
industry and beyond. This will drive the development of the region and country
at large”.
MC Oluomo urged Governor Makinde to revive the Union
in the State with a trusted leader of his choice laced with integrity.
