Morocco is leaving no stone unturned as it prepares to host the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), leveraging newly upgraded stadiums, improved transportation networks, and enhanced hospitality infrastructure. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to showcase Morocco’s organizational capabilities ahead of its role as co-host of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Beyond on-field competition, where the Atlas Lions aim to claim their second AFCON title, Morocco is prioritizing an exceptional tournament experience for all participating teams. Authorities have pledged top-tier training facilities, accommodation, and logistical support, ensuring a seamless environment throughout the month-long competition.

To enhance fan engagement and accessibility, Morocco has introduced a smart digital ticketing system and rolled out discounted travel packages, with Royal Air Maroc offering reduced airfares to supporters traveling from nations including Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, and Cameroon.

The combined effort aims to boost attendance, foster a vibrant pan-African atmosphere, and redefine what a modern AFCON should look and feel like, reinforcing Morocco’s ambition not just to host but to set a new benchmark for continental football tournaments.
