The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the
appointment of Abdulquadri Jaiyeola as the vice-captain of its men's volleyball
team ahead of the second phase of the 2026 CGC Volleyball Premier League.
The decision forms part of the team's preparations as
it seeks to mount a strong title challenge in the remainder of the competition.
Jaiyeola is expected to work closely with the team captain, providing
leadership both during matches and in the dressing room.
A seasoned member of the squad, Jaiyeola will play a
key role in motivating teammates and helping maintain discipline and cohesion
as the campaign continues.
The former league champions are aiming to build on
their performances from the opening phase when action resumes in the second
half of the 2026 CGC Volleyball Premier League.
