Victor Osimhen, striker for the Super Eagles and
Galatasaray, has reportedly chosen to remain in the hospital longer than
initially planned following arm surgery.
The Nigerian forward underwent the procedure last
Monday after sustaining an injury during a UEFA Champions League match against
Liverpool earlier in the month.
Although he was expected to be discharged shortly
after the operation, reports from Turkish journalist Haluk Yürekli indicate
that Osimhen requested an extended stay under medical supervision.
According to the report, the striker believes
remaining in the hospital will support a quicker and more effective recovery.
Club officials reportedly approved the request, with strict security measures
in place around his hospital room.
It was also noted that access to Osimhen has been
limited during his recovery period, with even close family members facing
restrictions as he focuses on regaining full fitness.
