The people of Ijebu-Idowa recently hit what looked like a gold mine with the citing of a world-class health care facility that has made access to quality health care delivery quite easy for them. Of course, they owe their good fortune to the benevolence of the Almighty Power Of God Interceding Ministry which, driven by altruistic motives, spared no Kobo in ensuring that the people got the best in terms of a modern, well equipped hospital to cater for their health needs. SIR, WHAT INSPIRED THIS LAUDABLE PROJECT THAT HAS BROUGHT HEALTHCARE CARE CLOSER TO THE PEOPLE OF IDOWA COMMUNITY AT NO COSTS?
The idea was initiated by ALMIGHTY POWER OF GOD INTERCEDING MINISTRY aka OKE GBOGUNMI in Ijebu Idowa, Odogbolu LG of Ogun state, to give back to the community in order to assist the needy and less privileged who ordinarily can't afford and access the minimum health care services.
WE OBSERVE THAT EVEN NEIGHBOURING TOWNS AND VILLAGERS ALSO PATRONISE THE FACILITY DESPITE IT BEING LOCATED IN IDOWA?
Yes, neighbouring towns like Ala, Irete, Omu, Ososa, Imoro, Iwata, Ibefun and Atiba etc, do come to patronize the facility.
IT APPEARS THE AIM FOR SETTING UP THE FACILITY IS MORE OF A SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY THING THAN OF MONETARY CONSIDERATIONS?
The objective is to reach out to the poorest of the power who don't have the capacity to afford the least primary health services. It's another form of empowerment.
This was further given the desired push and encouragement by the Odogbolu Local Government with a view to making a positive impact in the lives of the people.
WHAT STEPS HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO ENSURE YOUR HIGH COST FACILITIES ARE WELL MANAGED AND MAINTAINED?
Capable hands have been sought, deployed and engaged to run the facility. On the ground is a qualified medical doctor, nurses, and other allied health workers.
ANY PROVISION TO RECRUIT TRAIN AND RETRAIN STAFF CONSTANTLY FOR EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY?
Adequate staff compliments have been engaged. Both Odogbolu LG and the state health ministry are at the forefront of training and retraining of staff for effectiveness.
HOW DO YOU SUSTAIN THE PAYMENT OF SALARIES TO YOUR STAFF SINCE YOUR OUTFIT IS MAINLY NOT FOR PROFIT MAKING?
There is adequate provision for sustainable overhead and manpower funding for wages, salaries and emoluments by the visioners.
WOULD YOU BE WELCOMING SUPPORT FUNDING FROM SAY, DONORS, PARTNERS OR WELL MEANING SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF THE COMMUNITY NOW OR THE FUTURE?
Funding is assured by visioners and pioneers of the project. Involvement of illustrious sons and daughters of Idowa to support the funding may be a welcome development.
HOW ACCESSIBLE AND NEAR IS THE IDOWA MEDICAL FACILITY TO ITS NEIGHBOURS?
Covers surrounding axis and provides prompt easy access to more than 7 towns up to Ijebu-Ode
HAVE YOU CONSIDERED AVAILING YOUR FACILITY OF THE SERVICES NYSC TO BOOST YOUR WORKFORCE AND ENHANCE SERVICE DELIVERY?
Corpers are an integral part of the workforce and more would be encouraged to boost the manpower of the facility.
DOES YOUR CURRENT ARRANGEMENTS ALSO CONSIDER ACCOMMODATION FOR SERVING CORP MEMBERS AND OTHER WELL TRAINED PERSONNEL TO YOUR COMMUNITY?
The facility boasts of state of the art modern facilities for offices and accommodations for not only the doctor, but also for nurses and other allied health workers.
ARE THERE OTHER INCENTIVES CORPERS GET APART FROM THEIR USUAL MONTHLY GOVERNMENT ALLOWANCES?
Aside from the Corpers allowance by the federal government, the doctors and other student nurses are competitively and robustly renumerated
DO YOU HAVE MOUs FOR REFERRALS OF SOME EMERGENCY CASES TO OTHER MEDICAL FACILITIES OUTSIDE THE IDOWA COMMUNITY?
As a primary health facility, other health issues of secondary and tertiary concerns will be referred for further medical attention.
