Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has taken another
significant step toward a historic milestone after netting his 967th career
goal during Al Nassr’s commanding 5–2 victory over Al-Najma in the Saudi Pro
League.
The veteran forward, who recently returned from a
month-long injury break, made an immediate impact by scoring twice in the
second half of the match. His performance not only helped secure a comfortable
win for his team but also brought him closer to the unprecedented 1,000-goal
milestone.
Ronaldo first found the back of the net from the
penalty spot, restoring his side’s advantage at a crucial point in the game. He
later added another goal to his tally, further extending his remarkable scoring
record and reinforcing his reputation as one of football’s greatest goal
scorers.
The victory also marked an impressive run for Al
Nassr, as the team recorded its 13th consecutive league win. This streak has
strengthened their grip at the top of the table, while also widening the gap
between them and close rivals Al Hilal.
With Ronaldo continuing to deliver at the highest
level despite his age, attention is now firmly on whether he can reach the
historic 1,000-goal mark before the end of his illustrious career.
