Head Coach Eric Sekou Chelle has released a 31-man provisional list of players for Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and South Africa next month.

The list includes team captain William Troost-Ekong, first-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, defenders Olaoluwa Aina and Calvin Bassey, midfielders Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi, as well as attacking stars Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Simon Moses, and Samuel Chukwueze.

Chelle also handed opportunities to youthful prospects including goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt, defender Benjamin Fredericks, and midfielder Christantus Uche, all of whom have impressed in recent outings. Cyriel Dessers, who starred in Nigeria’s Unity Cup triumph in London earlier this summer, is also included.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Adeleye Adebayo, defender Chidozie Awaziem, and striker Terem Moffi return to the squad after extended absences.
