Ex-Niger Delta warlord and founder of Tantita Security
Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly
known as Tompolo, has debunked a publication linking him to comments on
the case of detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by his
media consultant, Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo described the report as false,
mischievous, and a calculated attempt by detractors to tarnish his image.
“We wish to state unequivocally that High Chief
Ekpemupolo did not author or sanction the said publication. It is the handiwork
of detractors attempting to discredit him because of his firm stance against
illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region,” the statement read.
“These individuals have failed and will continue to
fail, as Tompolo remains committed to eradicating oil theft and pipeline
vandalism.”
Reaffirming his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed
Tinubu’s administration, Tompolo expressed full support for the Renewed
Hope Agenda and reiterated his endorsement of the President for a second
term in office.
The statement urged the Federal Government,
stakeholders, and the general public to disregard the false report,
stressing that it does not reflect Tompolo’s position or any of his official
communications.
“The public is advised to ignore the publication in
its entirety, as it is malicious and does not represent the views or actions of
High Chief Ekpemupolo,” it added.
