Tottenham Hotspur have parted ways with interim
manager Igor Tudor after just 44 days in charge, following a disappointing run
of results.
Tudor, who took over on a short-term basis after the
exit of Thomas Frank in February, managed seven matches during his brief spell,
recording five defeats.
In an official statement, the club confirmed that both
parties agreed to end the arrangement immediately. Tottenham also expressed
appreciation for Tudor and his backroom staff, acknowledging their efforts
during a challenging period and offering condolences following a recent
personal loss he suffered.
The decision comes at a difficult time for Spurs, who
are currently struggling near the bottom of the Premier League standings, just
above the relegation zone.
Tudor’s final game in charge ended in a heavy 3–0 home
defeat to Nottingham Forest, intensifying concerns over the team’s form. During
his tenure, the club also suffered a 5–2 loss to Atlético Madrid in the UEFA
Champions League, and although they won the return leg 3–2, it was not enough
to secure progression.
Tottenham have indicated that an announcement
regarding a new head coach will be made soon.
Having been part of the Premier League since its
inception in 1992, the club now faces mounting pressure to improve results as
they prepare for their next match against Sunderland.
