Reacts To Speculation Over Sanwo-Olu’s Seat political discussions.
Addressing the Surulere All Progressives Congress
(APC) gathering at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Saturday, Gbajabiamila
attributed these rumors to detractors seeking to undermine his progress.
He explained, “There are those who believe that
because of my continuous rise in politics, from Minority Whip to Speaker, and
now Chief of Staff, they must stop me in my tracks. But let me set the record
straight—it’s not yet my time for governorship. I am fully committed to my
responsibilities as Chief of Staff.”
Gbajabiamila emphasized that his current role was
demanding, leaving no room for thoughts on the Lagos governorship race. “God
knows who will be the next governor, but for now, I’m focused on my work. The
governorship is still a long way off,” he added.
With his political trajectory being closely watched,
Gbajabiamila remains resolute in focusing on his duties, leaving the
speculation of 2027 elections behind.
