"I needed a change, but it didn't happen"

Angel Correa confirmed that he is staying at Atletico. He commented that he thought about leaving, as he did not have a good time after the death of his mother. "I'm going to stay at the club, I'll try to find the best way to help the team," he said.

Atletico Madrid's Argentinian striker Angel Correa said on Wednesday after the 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano that he "wasn't having a good time with the loss" of his mother and "needed a change" in the winter transfer window, which "didn't happen for a reason", so he will "continue" at the Spanish side.

"I think there was a possibility of leaving. I had talked about it with Simeone, with the club....
