Nigeria’s D’Tigers have retained their 42nd position
in the latest FIBA world rankings following an outstanding performance in the
second window of the 2025 Afrobasket Championship qualifiers.
Despite a shaky start in the first window, the team
bounced back in dominant fashion, winning all their games to secure a spot in
the tournament.
According to the FIBA rankings released on Friday,
D’Tigers remain 42nd globally and 6th in Africa.
South Sudan continues to lead the African rankings,
followed by Ivory Coast, Angola, Tunisia, and Egypt.
