Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has congratulated Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election as Governor of Anambra State, describing the victory as a reaffirmation of the people’s confidence in his leadership and achievements.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor, Governor Nwifuru said the outcome of the November 8 governorship election clearly endorsed Soludo’s performance during his first term.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governor highlighted Soludo’s visionary leadership, intellectual depth, and commitment to the progress of Ndigbo and Nigeria, noting that the re-election would further consolidate democratic ideals, good governance, and regional development.

“As a fellow governor and brother in service of our Igbo region, I look forward to deeper collaboration between Anambra and Ebonyi States in our shared pursuit of regional integration, economic transformation, and the uplift of our people,” Nwifuru said.

He also praised Soludo for his focus on infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and innovative governance, describing him as a visionary leader whose policies continue to inspire progress across the region.

The statement reaffirmed Nwifuru’s commitment to working with other South-East governors to strengthen unity, peace, and socio-economic growth, emphasizing that collective action is key to the advancement of the Igbo people.

According to INEC, Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) scored 422,664 votes, defeating his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu (APC), who polled 99,445 votes. Paul Chukwuma of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) came third with 37,753 votes, while John Nwosu of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) scored 8,208 votes.

The electoral body noted that out of 2,788,864 registered voters, 598,229 were accredited for the election. Some opposition candidates, however, rejected the results.
