Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has
appointed Hon. Benibo Anabraba, a former Minority Leader of the State
House of Assembly, as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Anabraba, who represented Akuku-Toru Constituency
II in the Rivers State House of Assembly, replaces Dr. Tammy Danagogo,
who served in the position from the second term of former Governor Nyesom
Wike—now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory—through the first two
years of the Fubara administration, before the declaration of emergency rule.
According to a statement signed by the Permanent
Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications, Honour Sirawoo, the
new SSG will be sworn in on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in
the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt.
