reiterated its unwavering commitment to ensuring that all 14 recognized
constituencies are fully represented in the governance structure of

Speaking on the development, NSC Director General,
Hon. Bukola Olopade, stressed that inclusivity is non-negotiable:
“The strength of our sports federations
lies in representation. None of the 14 constituencies will be excluded from
participating in governance. Every voice must be heard in shaping the future of
Nigerian sports.”
The Commission has also directed the Gymnastics,
Judo, and Shooting Federations to prepare for their upcoming elections.
While Judo and Gymnastics will conduct zonal elections before the national
polls, the Shooting Federation will proceed directly with electing its President
and Vice President, having already completed its zonal elections.
The NSC emphasized that the elections will further
entrench democracy in sports governance, ensuring that all federations are run
in line with global best practices.
