Juventus’ hopes of landing Nigerian striker Victor
Osimhen next summer face a major obstacle according to Il Bianconero.
Osimhen has been on fire this season, boosting his
reputation as one of the world’s top strikers. After an impressive stint on
loan at Galatasaray, his performances have caught the eye of several top clubs,
including Juventus.
The Turin giants are in the market for a striker,
either to partner with or replace Dusan Vlahovic, who could be on his way out
if he doesn’t renew his contract.
Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus’ sporting director, has a
history with Osimhen, having signed him during his time at Napoli. His
connections could play a crucial role in any potential transfer. However, the
financial realities are clear: Juventus cannot afford the total cost of a deal
for Osimhen.
Reports from Il Bianconero suggest the deal would
require a hefty transfer fee to Napoli, along with meeting Osimhen’s
significant wage demands—both of which are beyond Juve’s current budget.
Additionally, Napoli’s reluctance to sell to their Serie A rivals adds another
layer of complexity.
Juventus’ only realistic path to signing Osimhen would
be through a big-money sale, likely involving Vlahovic. Without that, their
pursuit of the Nigerian star remains a long shot.
