Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and
former lawmaker representing Kaduna central senatorial district in the 8th
assembly recently reacted after the son to popular Islamic cleric and erstwhile
military officer, Sheikh Gumi graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy,
Kaduna. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle,
he wished the young man a successful service to Nigeria.
The news regarding the graduation of Abdulrahhaman
Ahmad Gumi, the son to popular Islamic cleric and Scholar Sheikh Gumi generated
mixed reactions from different quarters after the reports went viral across
various social media platforms.
Sheik Gumi, a popular figure within the Nigerian
political space and Islamic religion, was overjoyed following the remarkable
feat achieved by his son. The young man, followed in the footsteps of his
father who was a well respected soldier during his hay days.
Reacting, Senator Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights
activist and former federal lawmaker in a recent statement which was shared on
his official X handle, congratulated the Sheik Gumi’s family, and accompanied
his felicitations with a stunning photograph.
From the photos which the renowned former federal
lawmaker shared, Sheikh Gumi can be seen posing with his son Abdulrahhaman
Ahmad Gumi, who bore a striking resemblance of his father, both in height and
looks.
In his remarks, Senator Shehu Sani wished Sheikh
Gumi’s son a successful service to Nigeria, as his father served the country
excellently.
“Sheikh Gumi’s
son Abdulrahhaman Ahmad, graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy;
Congratulations and wishing him all the best in the service to our country.” He
wrote.
