President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on his re-election as the Governor of Anambra State, describing his victory as a reflection of visionary leadership and people-oriented governance.

Soludo, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), won by a landslide, securing victories in all 21 local government areas of the state.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Soludo polled 422,664 votes, defeating his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 99,445 votes.
Other candidates trailed behind, including Paul Chukwuma (YPP) with 37,753 votes, George Moghalu (LP) with 10,576, John Nwosu (ADC) with 8,208, and Jude Ezenwafor (PDP) with 1,401 votes.

“A Testament To Visionary Leadership” — Tinubu

In a statement personally signed by him on Sunday, President Tinubu said Soludo’s re-election was a “testament to his visionary leadership and the significant progress recorded under his administration.”

“Governor Soludo, the Solution, has demonstrated that knowledge is indeed power and that academic principles can be applied in serving the people, undergirding accountability, transparency, and prudent management of resources,” Tinubu said.

He recalled his visit to Anambra in May, where he inaugurated several projects executed by Soludo’s administration, describing the experience as “remarkable and indelible.”

The President commended the governor for “bringing discipline, grace, brilliance, and a fresh perspective to governance,” noting that “under him, Anambra is living up to its motto as the Light of the Nation.”

Tinubu urged Soludo to be magnanimous in victory and seek the cooperation of his opponents, while assuring him of the Federal Government’s continued partnership and support.

Commends INEC For Credible Election

President Tinubu also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its new chairman, Joash Amupitan, for conducting what he described as a “credible and transparent election.”
He encouraged the commission to continue improving its operations “to strengthen and deepen Nigeria’s electoral process.”
