The Emirs of Damaturu and Potiskum in Yobe State have
pledged their unwavering support to the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, EFCC, in the fight against economic and financial
crimes and other vices in their domains.
The Emirs gave the change in Damaturu and Potiskum
while receiving the Maiduguri Zonal Director, Commander of the EFCC, CE Aisha
A. T Habib during courtesy calls to the Emirates alongside her management team.

Ibn Umar Al-Amin El-Kanemi, congratulated the Director and her team for the
successes recorded in Damaturu and equally assured her of his support in the
fight against corruption.
El-Kanemi further stated that; "the work of the
EFCC is not an easy one but your reward is with our creator. Therefore, I urge
you to continue doing what you do; the impact is felt by citizens".
The Royal father prayed for more successes in the
fight against corruption and extended royal blessings to the EFCC. "My
doors are always open whenever the EFCC calls upon us. You have my support, our
doors are always open for you at all the time”, he said.
While at the Potiskum emirate, the Emir of
Potiskum, Alh. Bubaram Ibn wurma Bauya pledged to support the EFCC
to achieve its mandate in the fight against corruption in the State.
Earlier in her remarks, Habib called on the Emirs to
join hands in the fight against economic and financial crimes in their domains.
"Actually, what the EFCC and the traditional
institution do is to bring sanity to the system and the economy of the
country. We therefore seek for your blessings, support, and prayers
for the success of the work we do", she said.
