The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will on Saturday
host its 81st Annual General Assembly in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The event will take place at the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall,
opposite the University College Hospital, Orita-Mefa.
Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun
Makinde, will declare the assembly open. Expected dignitaries include the Chairman
of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko; NSC Director
General, Hon. Bukola Olopade; Senator Abdul Ningi, Chairman of the
Senate Committee on Sports; Hon. Kabiru Amadu, Chairman of the House of
Representatives Committee on Sports; and Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick,
former NFF President and former FIFA/CAF Executive Committee member.
Other invitees include former NFF 1st Vice President, Barr.
Seyi Akinwunmi, as well as former General Secretaries Ambassador Fanny
Amun and Dr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba.
The General Assembly, which brings together chairmen
and secretaries of the 36 state football associations and the FCT, will also
have in attendance members of the NFF Executive Committee and Management,
as well as representatives from the leagues, the Coaches Association, the
Referees Association, and the Players’ Union.
NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), will
deliver the welcome address before the business session begins. Dr. Mohammed
Sanusi, the federation’s General Secretary, will present the activity
report of the secretariat.

The Annual General Assembly serves as the federation’s
highest decision-making platform, where critical administrative,
financial, and governance issues are deliberated upon.
