On Friday, March 7, 2025, the Landmark Event Centre
played host to the grand unveiling of “Bros”, the official mascot of the Niger
The special guest of honor at the event was
Governor Hope Uzodinma, the Governor of Imo State.
Inspired by the majestic dolphin, “Bros” embodies the
values of presence, prominence, and respect that define the Niger Delta region
in Nigeria.
The name “Bros” is a term commonly used in the Niger
Delta, symbolizing the unity, friendship, and camaraderie that binds the people
together.
The dolphin’s remarkable athleticism makes it an ideal
symbol for the sports festival. With their impressive speed, agility, and
jumping ability, dolphins are a testament to the incredible potential that lies
within the Niger Delta region.
Moreover, dolphins possess extraordinary sensory
abilities, allowing them to navigate their surroundings with ease, even in the
